Horse Breeding

Our location in Southwest Colorado is ideal for breeding robust and healthy horses. Our horses breathe some of the cleanest air in the world, and experience year round grazing, which helps them build a strong constitution. Our Horses have many, many acres to roam and exercise as a family unit increasing their physical and mental fitness.

Cloud Horses was established as a specialized breeder of Tiger Horses in 1998. Since then we have strived to produce the best possible characteristics in our horses. We have expanded our breeding program to include performance horses.

Rather than producing the maximum number of offspring, we have carefully selected and trained our stock for both physical strength and positive, trainable personalities.

Marcella Cloud

Marcella Cloud has spent her entire life training and breeding horses. Her 20 plus years of professional experience encompasses exclusive breeding, training and boarding organizations across the country.

As a young girl, Marcella trained with master instructor Margorie Kitridge in dressage, stadium jumping and cross-country riding techniques. Marcella has also trained with Clinton Anderson, Lynn Palm, and Stan Alan. 

Since 1993, Marcella has been training horses and people in Southwest Colorado for ranch work, trail riding, western pleasure, cross-country, dressage and jumping. Her equestrian consulting practice focuses on problem solving and teaching people and horses to communicate effectively and safely.

Marcella founded Cloud Horses and is an exclusive breeder of fine Tiger Horses, in Southwest Colorado. Rockie mountain high!

Marcella studied Equestrian Science at William Woods College in Fulton, MO.
